Role & Professional Background
As President of Moss Utilities, Kelly leads the company’s financial, operational, and strategic direction, including capital structure, risk management, and the systems supporting field productivity and safety performance.
Kelly joined Moss in 2018 as a project coordinator, following nearly six years in mechanical contracting where she managed a residential service department. She advanced through assistant project manager, project manager, controller, and Vice President of Finance before being named Chief Financial Officer in 2022 and President in 2025. Her progression through project, accounting, and executive roles gave her direct experience across nearly every function of the business.
That operational grounding informs how she leads today. Kelly has been central to Moss Utilities’ financial and organizational development through a period of sustained growth, building the reporting systems, financial controls, and administrative infrastructure required to support a project portfolio spanning data center, commercial, residential, and public works construction across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico.
Employee Ownership
Kelly played an instrumental role in Moss Utilities’ transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, structuring a model that gives employees a direct financial stake in the company’s performance. The ESOP reflects a broader conviction that long-term retention in this industry depends on giving skilled people a reason to build their careers in one place.
Safety
Kelly has taken direct ownership of Moss Utilities’ safety program, investing in safety leadership, field training, and reporting technology. The objective is straightforward: measurable performance improvement, consistent standards across every jobsite, and the qualification record that Moss Utilities’ general contractor partners require on complex projects.
Recognition
In 2025, Kelly received the Jackie Humphrey Memorial Woman of the Year Award from TEXO, the largest construction trade association in Texas, and was named a Dallas Business Journal Women in Business Awards honoree.
Industry Involvement
Kelly hosts Pressure Tested, a podcast featuring conversations with women who have built careers and companies in construction and the trades. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Moss Heating & Cooling and serves on the board of directors of Nexus Family Recovery Center.
